Into the future with positive energy

To act in a sustainable, resource-conserving and generation-friendly manner - according to this maxim, the Bruno Bock Group has now switched 60 percent of the power supply at the Marschacht site to CO2-emission-free electricity from the Hemfurth storage power plant in Hesse. In addition, a highly efficient cogeneration power plant already generates 40 percent of the site’s electrical energy requirements. This process adds value by generating waste heat, which is then used in a downstream boiler plant to generate process heat.

The conversion follows the corporate guideline on acting sustainably and the endeavor to continuously reduce direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions and thus make a contribution to combating climate change.

In order to increasingly meet its responsibility for the climate, the company was recently certified according to DIN ISO 50001 “Energy Management System.” All energy-related services can and are continuously optimized according to this benchmark.
